HDN-X10 Editcam HD
Getting rid of videotape for production was a major theme at NAB 2006. Ikegami was there, selling its hard-drive-based Editcam for more than a decade. New at the show was its HDN-X10 Editcam HD with new 2/3in. 2.1-megapixel CMOS sensors. The camcorder uses Avid's DN×HD mastering codec to deliver HD-resolution, full-raster (1920×1080) images that can be edited in realtime. It features a data rate of 145Mbps to capture images in the 1980/60i, 1080/24p, and 720/60p HD formats on Ikegami's FieldPak2 recording media or solid state RAMPak recording media.
