While the capabilities of small camcorders continue to grow, finding a small tripod that's both sturdy and light can take some searching. Gitzo's answer? Its G0027 ultra-compact tripod. Weighing less than 1lb., the carbon fiber tripod supports camera loads up to 5.5lbs. The G0027 features Gitzo's dual-jointing technology, HIS (Hybrid Interconnecting System), which the company says provides greater strength and stability when compared to similar-sized tripods. Maximum height (center column extended) is 28in.
