Take Metric Halo's Mobile I/O 2882: The multichannel processor incorporates the company's new 2d Card, which is said to provide nearly a six-fold increase in DSP power over the previous version for processing, routing, and mixing within this FireWire audio interface. The portable 18-input/20-output device features eight mic/line/instrument analog inputs, eight mic preamps with individually switchable phantom power, and eight analog outputs on balanced TRS connectors.
