Fast Forward Video Elite HD

On-camera DVRs are adding capabilities that enable new types of production. Fast Forward Video’s Elite HD already drew attention as the first on-camera recorder/player to employ JPEG 2000 (J2K), a new generation compression codec for recording HD-SDI video signals.
At the 2009 NAB Show, the company added RS-422 machine control via a DB9 connector, allowing the Elite HD to act as a standalone, single-channel DVR with record and playback, while applying a wrapper to the J2K file within the DVR, delivering file transfer without any artifacts.
