The electronics in the Apogee Duet are top-notch, but there is room for improvement in the bundled breakout cable — which can quickly cause clutter. A small company, DuetBreakout, built its own hand-crafted solution: Breakout. The box offers a more solid way to provide I/O for the Apogee Duet without the “rats' nest of cableage,” as the company puts it. Available with either 1/4in. outputs or RCA outputs, the system comes with good-quality Gepco cable.
