The move to larger, higher-res HD displays for public installations is picking up speed as screen brightness improves even as prices drop. Sony's recently introduced 47in. FWD-S47H1 (a 42in. is also available) provides full 1920x1080 resolution, with extra use for digital-signage apps via mounting holes for the company's VSP-NS7 HD player on the rear of the display.
