MultiTouch Cells

Although Microsoft has trumpeted its Touchwall multiple-touch large LCD-screen technology — like the iPhone, you can work it with two hands at once — for a while now, the initial product is pricey, which is presently keeping it from wide use. Finland-based MultiTouch beats the Redmond, Wash.-based giant by launching what it calls the world's first modular multitouch LCD-screen technology that can be used to create large tables and wall screens. Screens made of MultiTouch Cells allow multiple users to directly employ their hands to play games, sketch, and manipulate maps, pictures, and videos. Each compact module has everything built in, so users can connect HDMI, FireWire, or USB cables into a Mac, Linux, or Windows computer; turn on the power; and go.
