HD405
Christie Digital has a long history in film and video projection, going back more than 77 years, but the company has just now released its first native HD single-chip DLP projector, the HD405. It’s a pretty potent model, rated at 4100 ANSI lumens brightness. The unit offers 1080p (1920x1080) resolution, 10-bit image processing, and Texas Instruments BrilliantColor processing (this uses six primary colorsnot just the usual RGBto enable a wider color gamut). Features include up to 7500:1 (maximum) contrast ratio, a sealed light engine, and a dual-lamp setup with 2,000 hours of lamp life.
