Distribute Tools: Clear-Com

Concert

Voice-over-Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology offers good benefits and value. One example: VoIP-based Internet telephony services such as Skype. At NAB Show 2008, Clear-Com leveraged VoIP to deliver Concert, a software-based intercom system that works with desktop PCs. Instead of picking up a phone or connecting to a conference bridge, Concert users use their PC to talk to production personnel over a LAN — or they can use the Internet itself if communicating between local and remote users. The straightforward interface makes it easy for users to create and control their own audio conference, while it can scale to hundreds of users.
