One of the new products Ciprico will be introducing at this year's NAB is a next-generation addition to its DiMeda line. The company touts the multi-platform DiMeda 3600 as combining the performance of a SAN with NAS ease of use. Demonstrations at NAB will highlight its realtime ingest and playback of content and file sharing among heterogeneous clients. FibreStore 2210 scales up to 100 disks and 12TB. The 3600 offers double the performance of its predecessor, the 2400, with throughput of up to 2400Mbps via dual Gigabit Ethernet ports per appliance node and 2Gbps Fibre Channel back-end storage. A bandwidth management software option allows administrators to prioritize and put rate limits on clients.
