Adobe updates it all
While integrating features from third-party apps becomes increasingly useful, major product integration has really taken off, with Apple, Avid, and Adobe each delivering significant suites at the NAB show.
Adobe made a dot-release of its Video Collection that considerably tightened the links between its powerful titles. The Adobe Video Collection 2.5 update includes Premiere Pro 1.5, After Effects 6.5, Adobe Audition 1.5, and Adobe Encore DVD 1.5.
Adobe Premiere Pro gains significant improvements, with HD capabilities and support for the import and export of EDLs and AAF (advanced authoring format). The ability to copy and paste between Premiere Pro and After Effects further tightens the integration between these two leading apps. Premiere Pro 1.5 now also supports 24fps, as Adobe announced integration with Panasonic's line of 24p DV cameras. Finally, the software's HD capability will be supported by a range of new HD products from companies including BlackMagic, Bluefish, Boxx, Canopus, CineForm, Matrox, and 1 Beyond. www.adobe.com
