Cannes Do for Film Students

Film students from across the world can have the chance of a lifetime — filming at Cannes. Reel-exchange.com has teamed up with Real Ideas Studio to send students to the Cannes Film Festival, May 11-16, for an in-depth, hands-on program on film-making and what it takes to be in the industry.

Students applied on the realideas
studio.org
website and posted their projects and sample videos to Reel-Exchange under the affiliation RIS08. (See the talented students vying for the Cannes experience at reel-exchange.com/

.) A panel of judges will be reviewing the applications and videos posted onReel-Exchange to select the finalists for the student teams competing on the ground at the Cannes Film Festival. The teams will be creating documentaries based on the local flair of the French Riviera. Each team will be composed of a student director, videographer, editor, motion-graphics artist, and public-relations representative. Stay tuned for more information on the contest in Digital Content Producer's The Briefing Room.
