PMW-EX3
Sony made an interesting camcorder introduction by adding an interchangeable lens to its PMW-EX3. The new-style lens mount features a wide, flat base that aims to solve the problem of securing a non-fixed lens on camcorders with small image targets. Image quality looks promising, with a full 1920×1080 HD imager that doesn't use spatial offsetting. Genlock and timecode I/O makes it useful for multicamera operation, such as when paired with the RM-B150/B750 remote controllers — which allow adjustments to the basic camera parameters (gain, iris, white balance, pedestal, and gamma). Introduced at the same time were two pieces of gear to work with the camera: the PMW-EX30 deck and PHU-60K mountable HDD.
