HDgc lenses
Wexler in New York and many other major rental houses have adopted Canon's HDgc line of lenses to accompany their Sony XDCAM HD camcorders. The lenses were designed to fit the 1/2in. CCDs of the optical-disc camcorders. The KH21ex5.7 IRSE telephoto lens features a 21X zoom and a 2X extender, and the KH10ex3.6 IRSE wide-angle lens offers a 3.6mm wide angle, with 10X zoom and a 2X extender. The lenses include Canon's eDrive technology, involving microprocessor-driven digital servos that facilitate fine control over zoom and focus programming.
