Carl Zeiss DigiDiopter
Manufactured by Carl Zeiss in Germany and marketed by Band Pro Film & Digital, DigiDiopters are designed for extreme close-ups or for wide shots with a shallow depth of field. They come in +1 and +2 magnification versions. Maintaining image quality is key here: DigiDiopters employ an achromatic dual-lens assembly to minimize color fringing and spherical aberration. They also feature Carl Zeiss’ proprietary T* anti-reflective coating. Users attach the 10oz. devices to the camera lens via a single thumbscrew, and a self-centering mounting mechanism maintains a proper distance between the diopter and lens and keeps them parallel. DigiDiopters work with Carl Zeiss lenses and other 2/3in. HD lenses.
