Shoot in 3D
Is 3D coming back? Director James Cameron's next feature film uses 3D camera technology he and his brother developed, which is based upon Sony's high-end HDCAM SR camcorders. But for those who don't have a Terminator-level budget, 21st Century 3D provides a chance to develop 3D video projects that could be used in museums and other special-venue situations. The company's 3DVX stereoscopic camera system keeps costs down by employing two electronically linked Panasonic AG-DVX100A cameras. 3DVX keeps resolution high by recording the left and right eye images as two discrete channels, one to each camera. Currently available only as rental.
