EX 0.75X

Although some manufacturers are offering wider-angle lenses on stock camcorder systems, anyone wanting to shoot in more confined spaces realizes they still must mostly rely on third-party offerings to get the improved coverage they need. One reliable supplier is 16×9, which recently introduced the EX 0.75X aspheric wide converter. Designed for use with Sony's PMW-EX1 and PMW-EX3 camcorders, the EX 0.75X provides a 25-percent-greater angle of view while maintaining full-zoom capability. 16×9 claims the product is the first add-on wide converter to offer aspheric lens technology to DV and HDV cameras, which reduces geometric distortion, chromatic aberrations, and improves off-axis, wide-angle performance.
