While Sachtler earned its name in news and documentary production, over the past few years, the German company has been moving to establish a position with users of smaller camcorders.
At NAB Show 2009, the Vitec Group company introduced the latest in its DV line, the DV 10 SB fluid head. The smallest of its 100mm bowl-mount heads, it includes five horizontal and five vertical levels of drag plus "0," as well as a 12-step counterbalance and tilt range of +90 degrees to -75 degrees. Meanwhile, Sachtler's Speedbalance technology enables quick setups and fast adjustments, according to the company.
