Reflecmedia Deskshoot Lite

Deskshoot Lite uses a newer curtain material that's thinner and lighter than the original Chromatte fabric. Price: Less than $1,500
Doing chroma key setups on location can be a hassle, but a number of companies have been working to make the task easier, with LEDs turning up here too. The tiny lights can easily be mounted around a lens to spread their near-invisible light evenly, which is crucial to correctly illuminating the reflective greenscreen material as used by Reflecmedia. The setup is pretty straightforward: The United Kingdom-based company's MicroLite rig holds the company's LiteRing, which in turn illuminates its Chromatte, a flexible fabric that is hung behind the subject.
At NAB Show 2009, Reflecmedia announced a Deskshoot Lite bundle at a lower price point that will allow "just about anyone" to create bluescreen or greenscreen productions, according to the company. Included are an 8'x8' Chromatte Curtain, small or medium LiteRing, controller, and power supply.
