AG-HPX170

Demo'd at the NAB with a built-in vectorscope and waveform monitor, Panasonic's latest handheld P2 HD camcorder is adding in that same clever capability that makes its broadcast production monitors such a hit. The AG-HPX170 is lightweight at 4.2lb. — even with a battery and its 13X Leica Dicomar zoom lens (the cam-driven manual zoom has a 28mm wide-angle setting claimed to be the widest when compared to the competition). Built with many of the traits of its popular predecessor AG-HVX200, the camcorder uses three newly developed 1/3in. 16:9 CCDs, a new 14-bit A/D DSP, 2-channel XLR audio, CineGamma mode, HD-SDI interface, and records some 20 different HD and SD formats.
