That's one reason behind K-Tek's new rubberized Soft-Touch boom-pole collar, which is said to yield a more sure, more comfortable grip. According to the company, Soft-Touch collars are constructed of precisely engineered thermal composite, and they are UV- and rain-resistant. Because they are tightly applied to the high-density graphite poles during the manufacturing process, they should have a long life.
