Air Sea Land Remote Interface Panel

While the Red Digital Cinema Red One camera continues to garner kudos for its unique modular design, certain choices—such as the use of some nonstandard I/O connectors—have given makers of add-on gear a chance to show their own innovative chops.
Air Sea Land Gear is a good example. The Astoria, N.Y.-based company's Remote Interface Panel (RIP) provides three full-size XLR inputs, four full-size BNC connectors (for preview, timecode, SDI, and genlock), loop-through 12V power/GPI, and pass-through access for HDMI and USB. RIP, which attaches to the Red One's connector side, can connect with the Remote Interface Box (RIB) breakout box, which adds start/stop, tally, and 5-pin audio out.
