AudioAudio certainly accounts for half of the AV equation. To underscore its importance, InfoComm offers not only 17 classes devoted to the subject, but also the Audio Pavilion, where visitors can see a full range of cutting-edge audio technology solutions in application. Attendees will find more than 200 audio manufacturers, both well known and newly emerging, in the pavilion and on the show floor. In addition, new at InfoComm this year, the Audio Demo Rooms are located close to the exhibit floor, featuring practical product demonstrations from EAW, Harman Professional, Telex, and McCauley Sound in their respective rooms. Residential Systems IntegrationA fifth of ICIA's dealer members are in the home market, and the vast majority of dealers, distributors, and installers believe the growing market presents excellent business opportunities. Enter the Residential Pavilion, new to InfoComm this year. This pavilion features products, services, and technologies in electronic systems for the home, including networking, security, lighting, home theater, and technology integration. InfoComm 05 will also feature the NextGen Home, as well as a CEDIA Conference track for pro-AV companies and the Home Theatre Demo Room sponsored by Optoma. Digital SignageDirected at users and integrators of digital signage technology, the Digital Signage Pavilion enjoys a substantial list of participating companies. Those interested in digital signage technology will find applications featuring narrowcasters, digital signage control software, display technology, video routing and distribution, graphical and content creation software, and technology integrators. Presentations TechnologyOriginally scheduled to debut at InfoComm 2006, the ICIA Presentations Council found more than enough interest to go ahead with the pavilion this year, according to Bob Befus, council chair. The Presentations Pavilion and Seminar Series features the latest technologies available for presentations, solution implementation, techniques, and best practices. The Seminar Series brings manufacturers of various presentations technology software and hardware solutions together to offer educational seminars and presentations focusing on the application of such technologies. These sessions cover a variety of topics from hardware and software available in today's marketplace to best practices. Attendees at the Pavilion and the seminar series will enjoy an informative and educational discussion on technologies and applications. Lighting and StagingInfoComm 05 features an expanded Lighting and Staging Pavilion, now co-sponsored by Lighting & Sound America. Visitors can expect to see the latest trends in corporate event lighting, houses of worship, AV integration, video production, rental and staging, and live event production. Collaborative ConferencingInitially launched at InfoComm 2003, the Collaborative Conferencing Pavilion offers hands-on exposure to technology and applications in video-, audio-, data- and webconferencing. Co-sponsored by ICIA and the Interactive Multimedia & Collaborative Communications Alliance (IMCCA), the pavilion features the range of audio- and videoconferening gear. A highlight of the pavilion is the demonstration of a working mobile command-and-control center operating within a Hummer, an attraction sponsored by TANDBERG. Attendees can find further training and information on this complex subject at a total of 17 panels, sessions, manufacturer training classes, Super Tuesday, and Institute for Professional Development courses.
Streaming MediaNow in its third year, the Streaming Media Pavilion represents a technology that has gone from an Internet novelty to business reality in a short time.
