In collaboration with the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA), ICIA directly addresses the needs of its professional AV members who are working in or are interested in developing opportunities in the growing residential market. That's about 25 percent of ICIA members, according to Melissa Taggart, ICIA vice president of education and workforce development. "We are pleased to collaborate with CEDIA on this to bring their knowledge to members of the professional AV chain," notes Randal A. Lemke, Ph.D., ICIA executive director. Nine seminars will be offered over the course of three days. Topics include data communications, design and documentation, project management, networking, DVR, and digital vs. analog issues specific to the residential systems environment. Those interested in residential systems can also check out the AVolution NextGen Home in the parking lot of the Las Vegas Convention Center. |
